My absolute favourite destination in the city is Tel Aviv beach. I know it’s going to be a good day if I start it off there, next to the beautiful blue sea and warm sun.
Tel Aviv really is a beautiful place to be a practising Jew. I pray every morning and I love the wide variety of synagogues that Tel Aviv has because each represents different cultures. From North Africa to Iran, Georgia and Ashkenazi Jews, each one has their own colour and its beautiful to see how these communities keep their beliefs after thousands of years. It is such a welcoming environment, I can go and try each one of them whenever I like.
If you’ve never been to the flea market in Jaffa, it’s one of the first places you must go when you visit here! Everyone knows flea markets, but not like this. From amazing restaurants to antique furniture and vintage clothes, it is truly a special experience and a highlight of the city.
Everyone in Tel Aviv has a favorite hummus spot, but everyone also knows that there is a top-tier level for them. Abu Hassan on Jaffa is my personal favorite, it is one of the best original restaurants for hummus in the whole city. Add this to the list if you’re wanting an authentic Israeli experience!
While this is not traditionally Israeli, I love Thai food. As a DJ, I am constantly travelling for work and, so, while I’m away, I love to try different Thai restaurants in other countries. One of the best Thai places I have ever tried in the world is Thai House, right here in Tel Aviv!
Abie is an amazing new seafood restaurant. It actually used to be an abandoned telephone exchange, so the building is really cool and surrounds a beautiful wood oven that always smells amazing. To me, it is a great Israeli experience as all the ingredients are all sourced locally and the service is amazing.
